Smoking in Texas

Side note: this is on a count of blog stage 3

In the article "Texas' smoking habit costs us billions" in the Austin American-Statesman, the author talks about a legislation trying to be passed to ban smoking in private places. They believe that this will save us a lot of money in health care and fires.
They also states that the people who do smoke, shouldn't go out saying that they have the right to smoke because someone can easily counter that by saying that they have the right to breath clean air. Both of these statements are true because we all have the right to do whatever we want with our bodies. However smoking is a big exception because there have been many many people that have died by smoking cigarets. The people who smoke know this, so why are they constanly killing themselves?
The rest of the article says that the bills, if passed, would prohibit smoking in public places with the exemption of few. Finally, at the end they say that the bill "...deserves support because they save lives and money." I agree with that because smoking tobacco is a very dangerous habit, not only to yourself but to others around you also.
